The Legend of Zorro 2005
The Legend of Zorro, a film from 1998, takes place years after The Mask of Zorro. Alejandro (Banderas) and Elena (Zeta-Jones) are married and have a 10-year-old son named Joaquin (Adrian Alonso). Despite trying to protect the poor and oppressed Californians from the greed of landlords by still wearing Zorro’s mask, Alejandro struggles between wanting to live a normal life and fulfilling his duty. Meanwhile, California aims to become the 31st state of the USA, but some corrupt members of a secret medieval organization are determined to stop it from happening. The masked hero Zorro must once again come to the aid of the people of California. As Zorro valiantly tries to thwart the plans of this dark organization working against the people of California, he rapidly approaches a crisis that endangers both his own life and the safety of his family.
