Storyline

The Man Who Cried 2000

Fegele, living a normal life with her family in a beautiful town in Russia, decides to immigrate to America after her father is threatened with persecution by the Nazis. Disasters strike soon after her father’s departure, making the situation unbearable, and Fegele joins the townspeople preparing to migrate to America. However, she only makes it as far as England. Raised in a Christian family in England, Fegele takes on the name Susie and sets sail for Paris. There, she starts working with Russian dancer Lola, with the sole purpose of saving money and finding a father figure in America. Together, they find a new job at an opera house and meet opera singer Dante and the gypsy horse trainer Caesar, who will change their destinies. With the arrival of the Nazis in Paris, the scale of events begins to shift in the midst of a stormy love affair.
