In the film, Bruno, a pharmaceutical representative in his 40s, faces incredible pressure from his boss. After a meeting, one of his coworkers commits suicide feeling humiliated. Meanwhile, Bruno’s wife stops taking birth control pills. Not ready to have a child yet, Bruno secretly gives his wife the company’s birth control pills without telling her what they are. When his wife falls ill, Bruno is left unsure of what to do.
