Three friends obsessed with puppets, Walter, Gary, and Mary, go on vacation to Los Angeles. There, they learn by chance that oil tycoon Tex Richman is planning to demolish the Muppet Theater to drill and reach a newly discovered oil source. Now they will fight tooth and nail to save the puppet theater. Because Kermit the Frog is rallying his friends together and organizing the “Biggest Muppet Telethon Ever” to raise the $10 million they need. Fozzie is performing with a extortionist group known as the Moopets in Reno, while Miss Piggy is making a living as the plus-size fashion editor at Vogue Paris. Gonzo is working as a plumber and getting therapy to control his anger at an animal clinic in Santa Barbara.
