The Nines 2007
“Nines” is a film consisting of 3 short films where actors play different roles. The first short film, “Prisoner”, tells the story of a TV star who finds himself on house arrest with his only connection to the outside world being two women, his manager and his neighbor. Mysterious events lead the women to believe they are deceiving themselves about the real world. The second short film, “Reality TV”, follows a documentary producer as he goes through the post-production stage of a series with the help of his friends. Information, on the other hand, focuses on a successful video game designer and his wife getting stranded in a wooded area when their car breaks down, leading their daughter to discover the truth/information and making an irreversible choice. These three stories explore the relationship between the writer and character, actor and role, creator and work in a single narrative.
