The Postman Always Rings Twice

Storyline

The Postman Always Rings Twice 1981

During the economic crisis years in the United States, Frank, who drifts from state to state like a leaf in the wind, arrives at a small restaurant run by the beautiful Cora and her elderly husband Nick. Frank, whom Nick pities, starts a passionate relationship with Cora. Blinded by love, the lovers decide to kill Nick and get both freedom and a large insurance payout. However, life is full of surprises. This film, one of the most impressive films of the 1980s, is crowned with the virtuoso dramatic montage of David Mamet, one of the country’s best screenwriters, and the passionate performances of Jack Nicholson and Jessica Lange. In fact, the remake of “The Postman Always Rings Twice” is a cult scandal novel with both its original version in 1946 and James M.’s novel. One of the most wonderful presentations of how the moral decline of the crisis years accelerated…
