Arrogant Texas millionaire Joe Grant (Ralph Bellamy) puts three cowboys on a train to make a deal. Joe Grant claims that his wife Maria Grant (Claudia Cardinale) has been kidnapped by Mexican revolutionaries led by Jesús Raza (Jack Palance) and demands her rescue. Team leader Henry “Rico” Fardan (Lee Marvin) tells him they need another explosives expert. Texas millionaire Joe Grant agrees to make a deal with four cowboys (Lee Marvin, Burt Lancaster, Woody Strode, and Robert Ryan). However, there are interesting developments. They doubt whether Mrs. Maria Grant has really been kidnapped or not.
