Successful book editor Margaret, whose US visa is about to expire, forces her assistant Andrew, whom she has worked with for many years, to marry her in order to avoid being deported to her home country Canada and to stay in the US. When they go to Alaska to meet the groom’s family, their efforts to prevent this fake marriage are combined with the ridiculous experiences Margaret has with this strange family. Starring Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds, the film is a classic romantic comedy about a comfortable marriage.
