The American football team Washington Sentinels’ players go on strike with 4 games left in the season. In order for a team to make it to the playoffs, they need to win at least three of the remaining games. Club president appoints Jimmy McGinty as the team’s coach. McGinty forms a team made up of backups. Most of the players are inexperienced. However, former football player Shane Falco is called in as the quarterback, seen as the coach’s trump card.
