The Return of the Pink Panther 1975
When the famous Pink Panther Diamond is mysteriously stolen from the Lugash Royal Museum, Chief Inspector Dreyfus is reluctantly forced to bring Clouseau back into service. The initial suspect of the theft is none other than the elusive Phantom thief, or real name Sir Charles Lytton. Unexpectedly, Lytton has no connection to this heist story, but Clouseau, with his own set of rules, is too narrow-minded to see that. The charismatic playboy, wanting to avoid being accused, goes after the real culprit, while his beautiful wife Claudine is tasked with tripping up the bumbling detective. Clouseau’s usual methods leave the audience in fits of laughter, and unfortunate Chief Inspector Dreyfus edges closer to madness with each mishap. Edwards and Sellers bring back the world of the Pink Panther in this film after over a decade, adding all the ingredients needed for success. A timeless classic.
