The Rider 2017
Based on a true story, The Rider follows the story of a young rodeo cowboy named Brady Blackburn. After a tragic accident while riding a horse, Brady finds it difficult to get back on a horse and compete in rodeos. With his life revolving around rodeo and horses, Brady returns home and tries to find a purpose to live for. “To fight and be able to ride a horse again.” Brady embarks on a journey to find a new identity and redefine what it means to be “a man” in the heart of America. Directed by Chloé Zhao, this 2017 American drama and western film has won awards in 13 different categories.
