The Robe 1953
Lloyd S. Douglas’ novel adaptation, this impressive religious film, is also the first film made using the CinemaScope technique. The film follows Marcellus Gallio, one of the heroes of the crucifixion of Jesus. After Jesus is crucified and taken down, the remaining clothes are won by a slave in a dice game. However, this victory will not benefit him at all and his life will be turned upside down. A slave whose life suddenly turns into a nightmare will go to Palestine to find a solution and try to find a way out of his ruined life.
