A group of rogue Navy SEALs led by former war hero General Francis X. Hummel seizes Alcatraz Island with chemical weapons, taking tourists hostage. They demand a $100 million ransom to be paid to the families of fallen soldiers, threatening to unleash the weapons in San Francisco Bay if their demands are not met. The only one who can stop them is the only man to have ever escaped from Alcatraz, John Patrick Mason.
