The Ruins 2008
Mexico’s bright sun, warm waters, and golden sandy beaches attract countless tourists every year. This kind of environment is especially appealing to young people looking for cheap fun. Best friends Amy (Jena Malone) and Stacey (Laura Ramsey) go on vacation to a tourist spot in Mexico with their boyfriends. Amy’s boyfriend, medical student Jeff (Jonathan Tucker), is a very cultured young man. Stacey’s boyfriend, Eric (Sean Ashmore), is a free-spirited guy who loves to party. As the group’s vacation comes to an end, they set out into the jungle in the hopes of seeing ancient Mayan ruins. However, when unexpected events unfold at the archaeological site, the frightened young travelers take refuge on top of an ancient stone structure. Faced with a deadly threat lurking outside, the young people must now fight for survival in a merciless struggle for life.
