Toy salesman Scott Calvin finds himself in an unpleasant and complicated situation on Christmas Eve. Santa Claus falls off the roof and urgently orders Scott to take his place. By wearing the Santa Claus costume, Scott unknowingly also accepts all the responsibilities of the rosy-cheeked legend.
