The Search 2014
This time, director Michel Hazanavicius and actress Berenice Bejo come together in a military drama following four individuals whose lives intersect in a cruel game of fate during the second Chechen war in 1999. A child witnesses the death of everyone in his village and flees to join the refugees. Eventually, the child meets Carol, the head of the EU delegation in the region, and begins to heal with the help of a woman. Meanwhile, his sister is searching for him among the refugees. Director Hazanavicius drew inspiration from the hardships his parents faced as refugees during World War II while writing the script.
