The Stoning of Soraya M. 2008
Freydun meets Zeru in a small village where he is staying due to his car breaking down. Zehra, realizing Freydun is a journalist, aggressively follows him to talk to him. Zehra’s nephew, Süreya, was brutally murdered by the villagers the day before. Before dying, Zehra made a promise to her nephew and is determined to do everything she can to ensure his secrets are not buried among the village’s mysteries.
