The Ten Commandments 1956
The film tells the story of Moses (Charlton Heston). Moses was found as a baby by Pharaoh’s sister and raised in the palace as a prince. He falls in love with Pharaoh’s niece Nefertiti, which causes a rift with his brother Ramses. When he learns he is actually an Israelite, Moses decides to protect his people from injustice and slavery in Egypt. He eventually leads them out of Egypt with the Ten Commandments from God, leaving Ramses behind and crossing the Red Sea. The film used massive sets for the scenes in Egypt.
