During World War I, Roberts finds a printing press on the battlefield and, with the help of Sergeant Harris and Pearson, starts the Wipers Gazette. Facing both supporters and opponents, they publish 23 issues with Roberts using a sharp tongue. As soldiers facing difficulties during the war, they embark on a journalistic journey on the front lines.
