La femme du Vème 2011
American writer Tom Ricks comes to a run-down Paris to win back the love of his ex-wife and daughter. When things don’t go as planned, he settles in a decrepit hotel outside the city and starts working as a night watchman. His life takes a turn for the better when a Polish blonde enters his life, followed by the beautiful, mysterious Margit with whom he will have a passionate affair. His relationship with Margit will trigger a series of unexplained events, as if an unknown force is taking control of his life. Based on a novel by Douglas Kennedy, this intriguing film marks Pawel Pawlikowski’s first feature film since his 2004 movie My Summer of Love.
