26-year-old Karl Marx, along with his wife Jenny, goes on the road due to exile. In 1844 in Paris, he meets Friedrich Engels, a friend who investigates the poor conditions of the English working class as the son of an industrialist. Engels, a showy person, provides Marx with the final piece of the puzzle he needs for his new world view. Together, amidst censorship and police pressure, rebellions and political uprisings, they will bring the birth movement to a new and modern world.
