Timbuktu 2014
In Timbuktu, a radical group seizes control and imposes Sharia law, banning activities like playing football, listening to music, and smoking. The people are warned that they will be punished if they do not comply with these new rules. Kidane and his family witness the beginning of a new era in Timbuktu and are shocked by the implementation of the new regime. Trying to stay out of the turmoil, Kidane and his family’s lives are turned upside down when he accidentally kills a fisherman who had killed their beloved cow, leading them to face the harsh consequences of the new rules.
