Ji-hwan, a high school teacher in 1983, is attacked by a pickpocket, while detective Gun-woo, in 2015, is shot and loses consciousness while chasing a suspect. Both men are taken to the same hospital in different time periods, where their hearts stop, and they miraculously come back to life at the same time. Their souls become mysteriously connected, and they start seeing each other’s lives in their dreams. They eventually team up to save the life of a woman they both love.
