True Crime 1999
Steve Everett, a journalist with a troubled personal life, is a relentless womanizer who has been drunk for all but the last two months. His wife Barbara is about to leave him. As Everett begins to spiral downward, he discovers an event that will bring him back to life. He finds evidence that the death row inmate is innocent. His belief in the authenticity of the evidence is the key to pulling himself together and putting himself back in the forefront. Clint Eastwood, who directed and starred in the film, also wrote the music. With high expectations, Eastwood is impressive in this role.
