Unbroken 2014
Young Louis Zamperini is an American long-distance runner who represents the United States Olympic team at the 1936 Berlin Games. Despite not winning the race, his incredible performance catches the attention of everyone, including Adolf Hitler. Four years later, at the Tokyo Olympics, he is considered one of the favorites to win. However, the games are canceled due to the outbreak of World War II. Zamperini volunteers for the war effort and survives a plane crash in the Pacific Ocean with two fellow soldiers. They struggle to survive for 47 days, only to be rescued by the Japanese Navy, who subject them to brutal torture. Louis must now endure unimaginable suffering and fight to stay alive in the face of extreme adversity.
