Under the Shadow 2016
Shideh (Narges Rashidi) and her family live in the midst of the Iran-Iraq War, known as the Cities War. After being accused of trying to overthrow the post-revolution government and expelled from medical school, she is feeling more and more defeated. With the threat of bombardment in Tehran and her husband (Bobby Naderi) being assigned to the front lines, Shideh is left alone to care for her daughter Dorsa. When a missile hits their apartment building shortly after her husband’s departure, resulting in a death and causing Dorsa to behave strangely, Shideh seeks answers. A superstitious neighbor suggests that a djinn, a malevolent spirit that roams the Middle East in the wind, may have been brought by the missile. Shideh must determine whether this is true in order to save her daughter. Enjoy the movie.
