Unfriended: Dark Web 2018
Matias, a young man in his twenties, finds an abandoned laptop at an internet cafe with no apparent owner. After waiting in the lost and found section for about 4 weeks, he decides that the owner doesn’t want it and takes it home. When he opens the laptop at home, he discovers a password-protected folder containing files that provide access to deep web content. The laptop is a gateway to the dark web, where unimaginable things like sexuality, hiring hitmen, and drug trafficking are accessible, as well as the information of untraceable users and even victims of torture. What seemed like an insignificant lost laptop is about to bring him big troubles… The sequel to the 2014 horror film Unfriended quietly made its way into the horror film scene in 2018 with its release on July 20th in US cinemas. Directed by Stephen Susco, the film dives into the terrifying world of the dark web.
