Gustavo Dudamel, a superstar, savior of classical music, and one of the most talented young conductors of the 21st century, is hailed as a unique natural force. During a concert in Istanbul in 2011, Dudamel initiated Peace for Music and has also served as the director of Venezuela’s young orchestra system, El Sistema. Faced with unexpected challenges after his tours were canceled in 2017 following protests and his decision not to return to his country, Dudamel celebrates the unifying and revitalizing power of music through his high-profile concerts.
