Howard lives a happy life in a comfortable home in the city with his beloved wife and two daughters, working as a prestigious lawyer in Manhattan. But deep down, Howard is suffocating and eventually snaps, choosing to live in his garage. His family is left wondering what has happened to him. He begins to secretly observe his family from there, like a stranger.
