Huthbert, working as a police detective in Paris, France, beats up his own police chief’s son in a critical situation and quickly goes on vacation. During this time, he learns that a Japanese woman he was involved with twenty years ago has died and left behind an important inheritance. The woman was a dear lover and will only bring trouble to poor Huthbert.
