Alice and Niklas, a couple leading a perfect life together, want to have a child. However, they decide to put their desire for a child on hold by going on a vacation to Sardinia. There, everything they have been suppressing comes to light. They meet the Tyrolean family next door, who seem to have everything that Alice and Niklas feel is missing in their lives.
