Victor Maynard (Bill Nighy) is a professional family hitman considered the best in Europe. Rose (Emily Blunt) is a beautiful, dirty thief who sells a fake copy of a famous artist Rembrandt Harmens Van Rijn’s painting to a wealthy businessman for £900,000. When the businessman realizes he has been robbed, he hires Victor to kill Rose. However, Victor hesitates as Rose has managed to impress him. Unable to reach his target, Victor questions his professional career and becomes a target himself. Realizing Victor cannot bring himself to kill Rose, Mr. Ferguson (Rupert Everett) hires another hitman. With an emotional connection now formed between them, Victor and Rose must find a way to escape the new assassin.
