Chen, a young student, travels from Beijing to Mongolia in 1967 with the main purpose of training a group of herdsmen. Through this journey and the experiences he encounters, he will have the chance to see life from a different perspective, immersing himself in nature for the first time. Chen will understand what fear, responsibility, and freedom really mean here. Moreover, he will witness the incredible relationship between the tribe he spends time with and the wild wolves, but just as he does, a decision is made by the government to eradicate all wolves…
