World Trade Center 2006
John McLaughlin and his police friends are patrolling Manhattan when unexpected events unfold, leading to a fateful day for them. They are among the first responders at the World Trade Center after the attack. McLaughlin and Jimeno are trapped under the rubble when the towers collapse. Miraculously, they survive but are stuck 20 feet below the surface, surrounded by concrete and metal. Despite not being able to see each other, they know the others are alive from the sounds coming from the rubble. Over the next 12 hours, McLaughlin and Jimeno share stories about their families, their lives in the police force, hopes, and disappointments as they struggle to stay alive.
