The director of The Lemon Tree and The Syrian Bride, Eran Riklis’ latest film is described as a road movie that takes us away from anger and encourages us to think and reassess. Set in 1982 during the Israel-Lebanon war, Israeli war pilot Yoni parachutes into a Palestinian refugee camp in Beirut after his plane starts to crash. Young Fahed and his friends, facing the enemy, direct their anger towards the pilot. However, Fahed allows the pilot to leave on the condition that they move to Israel together to plant his father’s olive tree. As soldiers track them in Lebanon, they will have to overcome their hatred and intolerance, and learn to trust each other.
