After the collapse of the World Trade Center towers in Manhattan on September 11, 2001, Osama bin Laden declared himself as one of the world’s greatest enemies. Leading the terrorist organization Al-Qaeda, the United States never stopped searching for him; labeling him as the number one culprit behind the attacks. A war began in Afghanistan, spreading conflict to other Middle Eastern countries. The Pentagon continued to spend millions of dollars on search operations to find bin Laden. In May 2011, they cornered him in the city of Abbottabad, Pakistan. The film, written by Mark Boal, tells the story of CIA agent Maya. Maya led the organization to stay true to the facts and eventually found Osama bin Laden. Despite being young and inexperienced for such a mission in that region, she had a strong belief in her abilities. With her confidence and intelligence, she achieved success and popularity.
