Zombieland 2009

Released in American cinemas on October 2, 2009, Zombieland became the most-watched and highest-grossing film worldwide in its opening week. When it hit Turkish theaters on December 25, 2009, it received a rating of 7.8 on IMDB. Directed by Ruben Fleischer, the film had a budget of 23 million dollars but managed to make 102 million dollars in revenue in its opening week, surpassing its competitors by a wide margin. The screenplay was written by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, with Jesse Eisenberg, Emma Stone, and Woody Harrelson in the lead roles. Woody Harrelson, known for his role in The Hunger Games, also stars in this film. Despite its short duration of 87 minutes, the film’s solid storyline of battling against zombies seems to have resonated well with audiences.

Ruben Fleischer combines elements of horror and comedy in a unique way, presenting the world of zombies in a different light. Three companions, Tallahassee, Columbus, and Wichita, struggle to survive against the zombies in a tragicomic manner. Although their initial meeting with Tallahassee is a bit rocky, they quickly become close friends and start fighting together in this ravaged world full of zombies. Despite overcoming numerous challenges together, they will face even worse situations and must also resolve their internal conflicts. Their trust in each other is stronger than the zombies in the world, and when they establish that trust among themselves, they will be able to put up a stronger fight.
